The short version
How To Buy Plots is free to read. One way it pays for itself is affiliate links. If you click one of these links and then buy a product or sign up for a service, the company may pay us a commission. You pay the same price either way.
How links are labeled
Any guide that contains affiliate links carries a notice at the top of the page. Affiliate links are also marked in the page code as sponsored, which tells search engines they are commercial links.
How we choose what to recommend
A product or service is mentioned because it fits the job the guide is describing, not because it pays. Many things we mention pay us nothing at all. We do not accept payment for favorable reviews, and if a recommendation stops being a good one we remove it, whether or not it earns a commission.
Advertising
The site may also display advertising served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. Those ads are chosen by the network, not by us, and an ad appearing here is not an endorsement. Our privacy policy explains how advertising cookies work and how to opt out of personalized ads.
